Job Title: Flight Operations Officer-Dispatch

Position(s): 1
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

Key Responsibilities

The Flight Operations Officer-Dispatch plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights. Responsibilities include:

• Flight Planning: Develop and file flight plans, considering factors such as weather conditions, air traffic control restrictions, and aircraft performance capabilities.
• Monitoring Flights: Continuously monitor the progress of flights, providing timely updates to the crew and taking corrective action when necessary.
• Coordination: Liaise with air traffic control, ground services, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with aviation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Emergency Response: Act as a key point of contact in the event of an emergency, coordinating the necessary response actions.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: A degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in flight operations or a similar role. Certification: Valid Flight Dispatch License issued by a recognized aviation authority. Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in flight planning software. Attributes: Ability to work under pressure, strong decision-making capabilities, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
