Standard Gauge Railway (SBR) in Tanzania
Tanzania is currently expanding its rail network with the construction of a Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) to connect the country to its neighbors and reduce freight costs. The project is being implemented in five phases and has invested 23 trillion Tanzanian shillings as of July 2023.
